Defect description

ALTEC IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 1993-2004 AA755 AND AA755L VEHICLES. CONTINUOUS OVERLOADING OR SIDE LOADING OF THE BOOMS COULD CAUSE THE LOWER BOOM TO CRACK NEAR THE LOWER BOOM PIVOT.

Safety risk

CONTINUED USE COULD CAUSE THE BOOM TO FAIL, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO PEOPLE OR PROPERTY BELOW.

Manufacturer remedy

ALTEC WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND PROVIDE AA BOOM STIFFENER KIT. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 20, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ALTEC AT 1-877-462-5832.
