Defect description

Cruise Car, Inc. is recalling certain 2020 Moke low-speed vehicles. The vehicles may be able exceed the 40km/h maximum permissible speed to be classified as a low-speed vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 500, "Low Speed Vehicles."

Safety risk

A low speed vehicle than can exceed 40 km/h, increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Cruise Car will notify owners, and dealers will calibrate the vehicle's maximum speed, free of charge. The recall began September 9, 2020. Owners may contact Cruise Car customer service at 1-941-929-1630.
