Defect description

Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Interstate 24 and Interstate 19 motorhomes. The main cable from the battery to the fuse panel may be under-protected by a 200-amp fuse, which could allow the wiring to overheat in the event of a short circuit.

Safety risk

Wiring that overheats can increase the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will replace the 200-amp fuse with a 50-amp fuse, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 14, 2023. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 ext. 7401 or 7411.
