POSSIBILITY THE NUT ON THE BOLT SECURING THE CLAMP ON THE FLEXIBLE COUPLING AT THE LOWER END OF THE STEERING COLUMN MAY BECOME LOOSE IN SERVICE, SO THAT MOVEMENT CAN RESULT BETWEEN THE SPLINES OF THE FLEXIBLE COUPLING AND THOSE OF THE STEERING WORM SHAFT.IF THIS CONDITION IS NOT CORRECTED, LOOSENING OF THE CLAMP AND WEAR OF THE SPLINES MAY EVENTUALLY CAUSE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.(INSPECT AND RE-TORQUE NUTS AS NECESSARY.)
