Defect description

A SHORT CIRCUIT COULD DEVELOP DUE TO POSSIBLE CHAFING WHERE THE BATTERY CABLE IS CLOSE TO THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM.

Safety risk

BATTERY CABLE MIGHT OVERHEAT AND RESULT IN A FIRE.

Manufacturer remedy

REPLACE BATTERY CABLE AND OTHER APPROPRIATE PARTS.
