Defect description

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2026 ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. Contact with the drive line yoke may damage the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) unit.

Safety risk

A damaged ESC unit may malfunction, disabling the electronic stability control and increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Autocar will relocate the ESC unit, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were be mailed March 27, 2026. Another notice will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated October 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-2601.

Safety risk

The tie rod clamp can separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.
