Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2015-2022 ACTT (Xspotter) and ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
Safety risk
Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.
Manufacturer remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace or add additional air tanks as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The alternator ground cable may be misrouted and contact the alternator positive stud, damaging the cable.

Driving at speeds greater than 33 mph can result in a loss of handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
