Defect description

AN INCORRECTLY POSITIONED WIRE WITHIN THE ELECTRICALLY OPERATED GEARBOX ACTUATOR CAN CHAFE AGAINST THE COVER CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR FUSE TO BLOW.

Safety risk

IF THE FUSE BLOWS, THE DRIVER CANNOT CHANGE GEARS OR PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THIS CONDITION CAN DISABLE THE VEHICLE TRANSMISSION, INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Manufacturer remedy

DEALERS WILL REPOSITION THE AFFECTED WIRE TO PREVENT CONTACT WITH THE GEARBOX ACTUATOR COVER.

BOTH FRONT SEAT BELT LOWER ANCHORAGE RAILS HAVE A MANUFACTURING WEAKNESS WHICH COULD FRACTURE IN A VEHICLE IMPACT.

Safety risk

SEAT BELT ANCHORAGE FRACTURE COULD CAUSE THE RELEASE OF THE BELT ASSEMBLY DURING A VEHICLE IMPACT INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR PERSONAL INJURY.

Manufacturer remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FRONT SEAT BELT LOWER ANCHORAGE RAILS.
