Defect description

FRAME MOUNTED FUEL FILTER MAY CRACK FROM FLEXING AT THE FUEL INLET MOUNTING NUT AND ALLOW FUEL TO LEAK IN AREA OF EXHAUST PIPE.

Safety risk

HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST SYSTEM COULD IGNITE THE SPILLED FUEL AND RESULT IN A VEHICLE FIRE.

Manufacturer remedy

INSTALL NEW INTERMEDIATE FUEL FEED PIPE ASSEMBLY AND FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY.
