Defect description

THE FAN BLADE, WHEN SUBJECTED TO HIGH STRESS LEVELS, CAN FATIGUE AND BREAK APART AT THE HUB WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: IF BREAKAGE OCCURS WHILE HOOD IS OPEN, A PERSON WORKING UNDER THE HOOD OR NEAR THE TRUCK COULD BE STRUCK BY A BLADE PART AND BE INJURED.

REPLACE ENGINE FAN.

Defect description

IN A VEHICLE IMPACT FROM THE REAR, THE THREE PIECE HOSES COULD SEPARATE AND RESULT IN FUEL LEAKAGE IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNT PERMITTED BY FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY".

Manufacturer remedy

A NEW FUEL FILLER HOSE WILL BE INSTALLED BY DEALER ON ALL INVOLVED VEHICLES.
