Defect description

STEEL STRAP USED TO FASTEN ALUMINUM FUEL TANKS FAILED TO PROPERLY MAINTAIN THE TANK.

Safety risk

THE ABOVE CONDITION COULD RESULT IN SEPARATION OF THEFUEL TANK OR LOOSENING OF THE TANK DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, WITH THEPOSSIBILITY OF HARM OR DAMAGE.

Manufacturer remedy

REPLACE TANKS AND STRAPS ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES.
