Defect description

INSUFFICIENT HARDENING OF THE TRANSMISSION MAINSHAFT BEARING RACE IN SOME OF THE VEHICLES COULD CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO LOCK UP DURING OPERATION OF THE MOTORCYCLE.

Manufacturer remedy

THE DEALER WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT NO COST TO OWNER.

Defect description

TRANSMISSION MAY FAIL TO PERFORM PROPERLY DUE TO INSUFFICIENT LUBRICATION. THIS COULD LEAD TO TRANSMISSION LOCK-UP DURING OPERATION WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.

Manufacturer remedy

A NEW SPECIAL LUBRICANT WILL BE ADDED TO THE TRANSMISSION. ANY DAMAGED 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION WILL BE REPLACED, WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNER.
