Defect description

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021, 2023-2027 MV, and 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The battery interconnect cable may contact the auxiliary stud and hold down bracket, causing a short circuit.

Safety risk

A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will install plastic saddles onto the positive interconnect cable, install wind laces and a J-bolt between each battery, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 8, 2026. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26510. This recall replaces and expands NHTSA Recall 25V534. Vehicles previously repaired under 25V534 will need the new remedy completed.

Defect description

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026-2027 MV vehicles. The ECU software may fail to engage the brakes with adaptive cruise control (ACC) or hill hold assist.

Safety risk

A vehicle that does not automatically brake as expected increases the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will update the brake ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 13, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26501. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 6, 2026.

Defect description

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2016 7600, 2016-2023 Lonestar, 2018 8600, 2018-2023 LT, 2021-2026 MV, 2022-2023 RH, 2023-2026 HX, and 2025-2026 HV vehicles. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Safety risk

Safety systems that depend on the ECU, such as Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System, may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25525. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 12, 2026.

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026 MV commercial trucks. The transmission shift actuator may not have been calibrated properly, preventing the transmission from shifting into reverse.

Safety risk

The truck may be unable to move as needed on the road, increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Defect description

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2026 HV, HX, LT, MV, RH, and 2025 EMV vehicles. The linkage that connects the right-side wiper arm to the motor may separate, causing the wipers to fail.

Safety risk

Windshield wiper failure can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will replace the wiper module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25505.
