Defect description

THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE FUEL COCK AND CARBURETOR MAY BE INSUFFICIENT TO ALLOW PROPER CLEARANCE FOR THE OUTLET FUEL LINE CAUSING IT TO CHAFE. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: CONTINUED CHAFING COULD CAUSE THE FUEL LINE TO FAIL, ALLOWING GASOLINE TO LEAK WHICH MAY RESULT IN A FIRE IF A SOURCE OF IGNITION IS PRESENT.

Manufacturer remedy

INSTALL MODIFIED FUEL COCK THAT ALLOWS ADDITIONAL FUEL HOSE CLEARANCE.
